Why do I see 123-autism.com here? Am I in the right place?
Good morning everyone. If you’ve stumbled across this blog and this post, you may see a lot of things with 123-autism.com. This is because I am in the process of rebranding and converting my site from 123-autism.com. I’ve been blogging for a while now, but after signing up for a blogging course, I’ve realized my site name was a little too focused.
I’d like to help families of all special-needs kids, not just Autism. And honestly, a lot of us ASD families also have kids with multiple diagnoses. Changing my website will let me address our multiple diagnoses. I’ve also got several friends with special needs kids ranging from metabolic disorders (Propionic Acidemia), Down Syndrome, brittle bone disease, deafness, anxiety, and juvenile diabetes, and childhood cancer. Some of these friends have already agreed to guest post in the future, and I look forward to hearing their unique perspectives as well as sharing our common struggles. 8 Busy Bees is a place for families of all special needs children to come to.
I’m also going to include posts about self-care. We, as caregivers, tend to give, and give, and give. We can get burned out or neglect our own health. I know this first hand.
So while this rebranding goes on, please forgive the links and pictures that refer you to my old site. I’m updating as quickly as I can, but I’m only one person–and my kids need me first and foremost.
